JD serves the community on the Board of Directors for FirstWorks and AIGA Memphis, mentors eight graders for The Grizzlies Foundation and is a graduate of the Leadership Academy of Memphis. He speaks nationally about web design, is writing a book, CSS for Print Designers, and serves on the Editorial Review Board for Smashing Magazine.
