Memphis Web Design | Simple Focus: the Evolution of Experience

For approximately 28 years, the subject of WW1 and its people has held my fascination and become my passion.  In an effort to share these stories of WW1 soldiers, I looked for someone who could identify with this passion and present it in a very creative and user-friendly, interactive environment.

I learned of Simple Focus through JD’s wife, with whom I work[ed]. Over a lunch, JD demonstrated his knowledge, creativity and desire to create a product that both he and I would be proud to share.

His desire to dig down into the subject matter, study the time period, the character, colors, textures, lines… gathering the essence of the time…, told me this was the guy. I only have one opportunity to create a personal web site and I want it done well.

As we worked through the process of creating the web site, I was very involved, providing text and scanned photographs. Communication was great, and if I had what I thought was a good idea, Simple Focus had an even better one.

Ever since the website was launched we have received loads of compliments from friends and people who share the same interest; but the comments that mean the most are from those who recognize the website as a work of passion. JD’s a great guy and I really look forward to our friendship as much as I look forward to expanding WarUntold.com.
